The author's great-grandfather, Judge U V Whipple from Dooly County, Georgia, was an adventurous and inquisitive man. In 1903 he took his family on a four month vacation in Northeast Georgia. They traveled by horse and buggy to various attractions in the area. With his pictures and memoirs, the author has published historical information on landmarks that are unavailable anywhere else.
